1. Sports Turf Machinery Repair & Maintenance – Level 1
This course is perfect for training a mechanic from another trade, or a person that is currently working on golf equipment in the finer skills and fundamental principals of golf turf equipment.
Syllabus includes:
• Petrol Engines
• Safety Switches/two Stroke Engines
• Cutting Unit Rollers And Leveling
• Cutting Unit Sharpening, Part 1
• Cutting Unit Sharpening, Part 2
• Rotary Blade Sharpening/batteries
• Hydraulics • Diesel Engines
• Electrics • Examination + Cert

2. Sports Turf Machinery Repair & Maintenance – level 2
This course is for training a mechanic of a greater ability and has completed level 1or is currently working as a turf equipment mechanic.
Syllabus includes:
• Engine troubleshooting
• Electrics,Troubleshooting + repairs
• Hydraulics, Troubleshooting + repairs
• Cutting technology – aftercut appearance
• Fleet management + record keeping
• Machinery safety + legislation compliance
• Drive line systems + repairs
• Examination and Certificate

3. Team & Fleet Management
A turf equipment maintenance system that works ; get your team and fleet running like clockwork. By training and mentoring your Equipment Manager / Technician and setting up a system, you can get the best productivity from all your Team!
Training includes
• Setting up daily / weekly service plans & routines
• Smart purchasing – how to get discounts on parts
• Scheduled maintenance planning
• Spare parts stock organizing
• Record keeping

4. Grinder Training and Safety
This course is designed to give staff training on Express Dual and Anglemaster grinding machines.
Training includes
• Safety inspection of machines
• Abrasive wheel training
• Training on cylinder grinding
• Training on bottom blade grinding, angles etc.
• Correct set up of cutting units, height of cut, leveling rollers etc.
• Non contact cutting

5. Operator Safety and Basic Machinery Maintenance
This course is designed to give staff training on how the safety systems of machines operate, what basic maintenance should be carried out by the operators themselves on machines and to ensure all staff and employers know their rights and responsibilities with regard to machine safety.
Training includes
• Consultation with the Superintendent / Safety Officer with regard to their responsibilities as managers.
• Machinery inspection and safety report completed including all mowers, tractors, hand mowers and hand operated machinery.
Operator Training
This includes an explanation of how the safety systems on the machines operate – safety switches, seatbelts, ROPS, leak detection.
• What their duties are in regard to safety,
• What PPE should be worn by operators.
• What daily maintenance should be carried out by operators.
• Questions and answers.
A return visit if necessary to repair / adjust any safety switches etc.

6. Train the Trainer
Legally all staff need training and it is important to keep records. We can give your team “Machinery Operator Training” and also give a competent member of your staff the skills to continue the process themselves and give new staff the necessary training to comply with current legislation without paying for an outside training company.
Training includes
• Machinery Operator and basic daily maintenance training on all equipment
• Machinery Audit – a “DOE for your equipment” including safety switches and guards
• Individual training with your chosen trainer
• Record keeping & legislation compliance

7. Abrasive Wheel Training
This comprehensive one-day course is designed to cover all of the legal requirements for the safe use and mounting of abrasive wheels. It looks at the most up-to-date legislation, plus, wheel selection, wheel storage, wheel types and markings.
If any of your staff use any type of grinder, at least one of them must have an Abrasive Wheels Certificate which must be updated every 3 years by law!
